Nook Sleep System

Nook is the only infant bedding system to consider infant health across platforms of breathability, non-toxicity and cleanliness in the creation of all of its products. Every detail from sleep surface to zipper is carefully questioned, analyzed and tested prior to product release. Consumer considerations are important to Nook as they help perfect Nook's products.

'Creating non-toxic products is important to us because Nook was originally founded by parents who wanted to create a better, safer and more natural mattress. These parents made sure that only the best went into our mattresses to create a safe and breathable environment that they would want to use for their children. While safety is our number one priority, it is also important to use to consider the ecological impacts on everything we create. That's why all of our Pebble material is made of Eucalyptus, which is one of the fastest growing renewable resources. To reduce our carbon footprint, we source as many of our raw materials as locally as possible. Our organic wool comes from Northern California, and our organic cotton is grown in the beautiful state of Texas. We use organic fabrics because they promote a safer environment for everyone who comes into contact with Nook products. Farmers are healthier. Infants are healthier. Everyone is healthier. At Nook, we like to make people happy!' - Chirstina Molina, Business Development Associate at Nook Sleep Systems
Crib Safety
According to the guidelines for infant safe sleep as established by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2011, a baby is to sleep on its back, on a firm mattress, alone in a crib that is devoid of bumpers, blankets, stuffed toys, etc. Additionally Nook recommends that parents and caregivers routinely examine the crib for any other extraneous or loose items that could present a safety hazard. Nook recommends the use of a fitted sheet.
Made in North America
Independently owned and operated, Nook Sleep Systems operates out of Southern California, sourcing as many local and organic materials and manufacturing processes as possible. The certified organic wool comes from family-owned farms in Northern California and Oregon. And Nook's organic cotton comes from deep in the heart of Texas. Yee-haw!
