This is why, in order to promote effective allergy prevention, doctors, health care specialists and Holle recommend breastfeeding for at least the first 6 months of life and, where there is a risk of allergy, avoidance of fresh cow's milk and products containing cow's milk. Goat's milk is a natural alternative to cow's milk.

Holle Organic Infant Goat Milk Formula is a ready-made, milk-based food product that provides cow's milk free nutrition for infants aged between 6 months and 2 years. It is suitable for mixed feeding as part of a supplemenatry feeding plan. Made with the very finest organic goat's milk, more than 99% of the ingredients are sourced from organic agriculture. The remaining 1% are vitamins and minerals that are essential for the infant's well being. Ideal for feeding infants where products containing cow's milk needs to be omittedin the first years of life. Please note, Holle Organic Infant Goat Milk Follow on Formula is not always tolerated by children with a cow's milk intolerance, since cow's milk and goat's milk share some of the same protein components, and thus both of these milk types can trigger an intolerance or allergic reaction. But there are also many cases where children react to certain cow's milk proteins which are not present in goat's milk. In these cases, goat milk represents a natural alternative. If a cow's milk intolerance has been identified, or suspected, it is recommended you consult your child's doctor or paediatrician first.

Why are vegetable oil found in baby infant formula?

Vegetable oils supply essential fatty acids, especially linoleic acid, and fat soluble vitamins. Breast milk contains sufficient linoleic acid, whereas cow's milk contains only low amounts. Hence the addition of vegetable oil is essential to strengthen their immune system and keeping the baby satisfied.
